Creating Inner Happiness with Light Watkins | Relationships

We’re here to talk today about how things are not always what they seem — especially in this age of social media where we’re bombarded with Instagram and Facebook posts. We’re always looking at what other people are putting out and comparing ourselves to their highlight reel. Sometimes it can make you feel like you don’t measure up — but it’s important to remember that we now live in a world where everything can be faked.

Our guest today, Light Watkins, is a meditation guru. He is very insightful and has an aura about him that almost just allows you to follow what he’s saying just from being in his presence. We speak about his books, Bliss More and The Inner Gym, as well as touch on the tips and tools he uses to help people become more mindful, live with intention, and embrace meditation.

Relationship Tip of the Day

Radical honesty: If something is holding space in your head, “dump it.” The moment you feel something taking up space in your head, tell your partner. Otherwise, it can build up, causing you to feel guilt and shame. The benefits are aplenty; You’ll end up finding out all these amazing things about your partner that you wouldn’t have known existed, and you’ll hold more accountability for yourself. This will improve you and your relationship.
