Death & Loss, Picking Up The Pieces | Relationships

Today’s topic is not an easy one. When we first set out to do IGNTD, we talked about relationships in relation to many different things. Today we’re going to talk about family relationships and a topic that’s very close to both of our hearts: loss. Our guest today, Rachelle, really has a way of finding the beauty in it all and reminding us not to be afraid of death.

In this episode, we discuss the loss we’ve experienced within our lives — Rachelle with her mother, Sophie with her best friend Heather, and myself, with the death of my father. Loss of this magnitude can really change the way you look at the world — a lot of things can seem not as meaningful and other things, all of a sudden, start taking on meaning.

Rachelle is really close to us and in this episode, we get really deep with her in the interview and speak about the changes she’s gone through since experiencing loss and what has come of it. Rachelle’s story begins with loss; from founding her business, The Neshama Project, to teaching her successful yoga class. Her ability to connect with people and to weave meaning and soul into her work in the world is profound. She’s very inspiring and we hope you connect to this week’s episode and feel as inspired by her story as we do.
